Champions stands out as being a fun title, optimistic, youthful, differyent. This issue is one of unrelenting heartache and darkness. Space Opera in the vein of Flash Gordon or Star Wars, or TV’s Babylon 5. Beautifully filmed, with a very human story at its core, it’s not a perfect film, but it is well worth seeing if you enjoy this kind of fantastical, swashbuckling science fiction.
